HMB Crab and Rock Cod weekend nov.13-14-15 2009 First day just Camping on boat in a slip. The Next day droped 6 round commercial trao in 40-50 water 3 miles from the Harbor, then ran south 28 miles to Peagin pt. since rock cod was closed north of that 1hr run hit about 6 fish in a few spots, then about 2 hours I found A little rock pile at 100 ft deep, then we loaded up on 24 5-7 lb rockcod in a 2 hours period and a nice lingcod about 18lbs on a broken fishing pole. that was broke in half. Then ran out of bait and started using chicken skin from the crab bait, still nailin them like crazy. Then the wind came up so we jammed home in 5-7ft swell at 12 sec and on top of that with 1-3 ft wind chops with 20mph head on breeze. It was bumpy ride home it was about 2 1/2 hours to get back. I Didn't Drive Back Because I was Downin the Coors's Just Trying to unwind and Rockin out. Right before the harbor We checked the traps for 48 keeper dungies but could only keep 30. so we left them in the traps for easy pickins the next day. then why'll we were at the boat ramp this guy was checkin out our catch he gets a call from his party out crabbing . well we had to go back out toTow there boat back in. And the kicker is they were very lucky, cause there motor wouldn't start then the little outboard won't start, then the battery went dead from trying to start it so they had no Marine Radio. they had a leak but the battery was dead couldn't pump out the water, and the cell phone died when we ...
